Luckily, our city is packed with fantastic water play options. They are perfect for little ones and big kids alike. You just need to know where to go!

If you are looking for free and fabulous fun, Canberra’s playgrounds have truly stepped up their game. These public parks are awesome because they mix playground equipment with that essential cooling spray. Just pack a towel and a change of clothes. You will be set for hours of fun!

For those times when you need guaranteed water fun, even outside of summer, our indoor aquatic centres are lifesavers. Locations boast heated indoor splash parks, dumping buckets, water guns, and sprays. The kids can enjoy a full-on water adventure while staying warm and safe indoors. This is ideal for toddlers and pre-schoolers wanting a gentle splash.

For the older children (ages 5 and up), the Canberra Aqua Park on Lake Burley Griffin is an absolute blast. They can climb, slip, and slide over a giant inflatable obstacle course floating on the water.
