It’s time to check out the Canberra PCYC and their fantastic Tots Tumbling program.
This program is specifically designed for the tiniest members of your family. It is a brilliant interactive class for parents/carers and children aged between 12 months and 5 years old. That covers a huge chunk of early childhood!
Why is this a great choice? The early childhood educators leading the classes focus on important skills. Children get to seriously improve their gross motor skills. They also develop crucial social skills and grow immensely in their confidence. It’s a perfect mix of physical play and learning.
The classes run from Tuesday to Friday during school terms at the Erindale Centre in Wanniassa. They offer two convenient, 45-minute sessions each day.
The 9:30 am class is perfect for the youngest age group. It accommodates children from 12 months up to two and a half years. The 11:00 am class then welcomes the older 2.5 to 5-year-olds. Siblings are welcome, making it easier for local families with multiple kids!
Each session follows a fun, structured format. Kids start with free exploration of the equipment—a chance to burn off some energy! Then comes a cheerful warm-up filled with dancing and stretching. The main event is the equipment circuit. Finally, the class winds down with a delightful parachute activity. It’s all about encouraging children to participate happily and at their own pace.
You can join for the whole term or drop in for a casual visit, though membership is required. Head on over to the Canberra PCYC Erindale Centre and join the tumbling fun today!
