Sometimes, you just need a fun program that gets them out of the house and into nature. Luckily, one local Canberra group has a brilliant solution!

Head down to Fyshwick because Tiny Creators is running their incredible “Green Rangers” program. This exciting series is happening right at the Paddock at Dirty Janes. This isn’t just a regular playgroup; it’s a real-life urban farm adventure! The program is specially designed for children aged two to five years. Younger siblings are always welcome, too.

What will your little explorers get up to? They become official Earth Guardians! The focus is all about permaculture and getting wonderfully grubby. Kids dive into weekly themes like “My Kitchen Garden” where they discover the magic of growing their own food. They also get hands-on with sustainability. They learn how to reduce waste through composting and worm farming, for example.

Imagine their faces as they explore “Soil is Alive!” and get to truly discover the world beneath their feet. Even better, they might get a surprise visit from some fluffy friends during the “Chickens – A Gardeners Bestie” class!

Each session is structured for maximum fun. The children start with a quick chat about the topic. Then, they get time to explore different learning stations at their own pace. This relaxed format really lets their natural curiosity shine.

This means your child can learn to be kind, brave, creative, and curious all at once. Plus, they will develop skills they can bring home to your own backyard. It’s a total win-win for parents and kids! The Green Rangers program is running over multiple dates. Be sure to check the calendar for session times.

All you need to bring is your child, a willing grown-up, and clothes that are ready to get dirty. If your family lives in Canberra, or is planning to move there, mark this event on your schedule. Go and reserve a spot for your own little earth guardian today!
