Are your little ones obsessed with the Heelers? You are definitely not alone! Bluey has captured the hearts of Australian families everywhere. Now, the good news for Canberra locals is here. The magic of the show is coming right to our city!
The wonderful team at the Canberra Museum and Gallery (CMAG) is hosting a super-fun session on the 7th January 2026. It is called the KIDS WORKSHOP: Puppy Play Ears. This brilliant hands-on craft session is directly inspired by Bluey’s Big Play. What a fun idea for a day out!
Your budding artists will get to unleash their inner creativity. First, they will craft their very own wearable puppy ears. Imagine them looking just like Bluey, Bingo, or maybe even Bandit! This is where their imagination really takes off. But the fun does not stop there. The workshop then continues with paint. Children can design and paint their own colourful dog family. They can bring Mum, Dad, and all the siblings to life on the canvas.
This special activity is perfect for Preschool to Grade 2 kids. It is designed to encourage play and fine motor skills. Best of all, it is a great family experience. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the session. Adults do not even need a ticket. It is all about spending quality time together.
All the necessary materials are provided by CMAG, which is fantastic. You just need to bring a ready imagination and perhaps a quiet coffee cup. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore the CMAG space, too. It’s all happening right here in central Canberra ACT.
Why not treat your family to this adorable, local activity? Head over to the booking page now. Give your kids an unforgettable Bluey-inspired day out! We think this event deserves a big Wackadoo!
