The wonderful crew at Ginninderry hosts a brilliant community activity: the Strathnairn Playgroup. It is specifically designed for children aged 0 to 5 years old. This is their chance to shine!

Every Friday during the school term, The Link community centre buzzes with excitement. From 9:30 am to 11:00 am, children gather to socialise and explore brand new activities. Think fun crafts, engaging toys, and making new little friends. It is a perfect opportunity for them to learn and grow outside the home environment.

The carers (that means you, mum, dad, grandma, or grandpa) get a treat too. You can enjoy complimentary tea and coffee right there at The Link. Plus, there is an extra perk: you can grab a proper barista coffee from Cafe Stepping Stone at Strathnairn Arts, which is right nearby. It’s a win-win situation. The kids get playtime, and the adults get a much-needed catch-up and caffeine fix.

This fantastic initiative is run in partnership with Playgroups ACT. They are all about connecting families across the territory. To make sure everything runs smoothly, they do encourage families to complete a simple, free, one-off registration with ACT Playgroups before attending. It is a quick step to unlock hours of weekly fun.

So, if you live in Canberra or are planning a visit, put this vibrant, community-focused playgroup on your to-do list! It is an easy way to meet local families and watch your tiny tot thrive.
